The books are 5″ x 5″. The front panel is attached with eyelets – it is 4″ x 4″. It is all made with black core mat board. The front panel is made with textured and painted molding paste – you can read more about how to do this at: http://www.jacquelinesullivan.com/home

This can be done on a “bought” journal or sketchbook and attached with eyelets. Have fun!

Hi Jacqueline,
I love these journals–their colors, their covers, their individuality! What are the dimensions? I tried to take a local bookbinding class but it was full-I’m very interested in making my own art journal. In the meantime, I alter watercolor spiral books and hardbound sketchbooks.
